Our client is an international, privately held company located in the Fort Wayne area with an outstanding management team and a very employee friendly culture. Our client builds customized automated equipment for customers all over the world, and you can be part of this companys growth. You will research, develop, design, and test electrical components for automated equipment including control panel design, programmable logic controller selection and programming, sensor testing and selection, conduit and wiring layout, generation of all associated electrical schematics and bills of material. Travel is nationwide up to about 25%.

You will:

25% - Generate electrical drawings
25%- Generate Bills of Materials
25% - Write programmable logic controller software
15% - Debug/troubleshoot systems in-house
10% - Travel to customer site

Your background should include:

* BSEE preferred. ASEE considered
* Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Controls Engineer
* Demonstrated experience working for a custom manufacturer of automated equipment
* Experience with control architecture and complex machine programming
* Electrical Design Experience
* AUTOCAD experience
* In-depth application familiarity with Device Net, Ethernet, and Allen Bradley/Siemens/Parker Motion Control equipment strongly preferred
